Replacement polyethylene gas tanks have no welds or seams and are guaranteed not to rust through for the life of your vehicle. The 1/4 thickness, provides insulating qualities that will reduce condensation and, most importantly, eliminate rust. Easy to install, using the original mounting hardware. Original fuel sending unit can be used with this tank. Made in the USA. This tank replaces both the 15 and 20 gallon tanks on the "1991-95" Wranglers. Also fits 1987-90 wranglers with 20 gallon tank "with rectangular opening" for sender. Mounts to the original skid plate *See Notes* and include 2 new straps. Be sure to check your sending unit as you may want to consider replacing it at this time along with the filler and vent hoses.

NOTES: This tank will directly replace Domestic model #'s 52002633 & 52018287. There were 3 versions of the skid plate and 6 versions of this tank used from 1987-1995. This tank was reproduced based on the most commonly and widely used version of this tank. *There is a chance that your skid plate may need to be modified to fit or replaced *

This tank will NOT directly replace export model #'s 52018779, 52019226, 52007258 or 52002622 - a new skid plate and sending unit are required.

Some early 1987-1990 Jeep® 20 gallon plastic fuel tanks had an open ended skid plate without the rolled heat shield over the exhaust pipe, we recommend replacing the skid plate as an exhaust/heat shield safety precaution. We also recommend replacing the fill and vent hoses to prevent possible fitment issues with the new skid plate.

Thank God for Russell's in-depth knowledge of these ol critters and Vintage Jeep! I have a, well, lets just say rather demanding customer that is truly critical of the work done on his military equipment and without these great folks at Vintage Jeep I would be up that famous creek!

I was only introduced to Vintage Jeep Parts early this year . I have had many jeeps since I got my first one in 1966 . This is the best parts house I have ever had the pleasure to do business with . Russell has put up with my mistakes and dialed me in many times already! I have many old jeeps I am working on for myself and others and look forward to working with Vintage Jeep Parts for everything they have or can get for me . This is who all businesses should model theirselves after . They are a true bright light in the industry! Sincerely Thank you

Words can not express my thanks to Russell, Our relationship started in 2006 unbeknown to me or Russell as the story tells. When my dad was a live, After my dads passing in 2011 I was asked by my dad to finish his jeep he started in 06. Well it took me about 3 years to go retrieve the jeep which I though was further along that what I found, LOL when I went to pick it up I found bucket of bolts ,frame pieces, Motor parts and transmission disassemble on the bench and body parts every where. I gather them up and ask myself where am I going to get support for this. I had never built a jeep from gr
